Gambosa

The Gambosa lamp looks like a balanced sculpture in sophisticated colours. Its creator, Mathias Hahn, has provided a modern take on the table lamp, a design that challenges the product’s traditionally static and rigid nature.

A design, made of steel, that simplifies the structural elements of a table lamp (shade, stem and base), joining them together without them apparently being connected. Its curved shade seems to float delicately, adding a dynamic touch, whilst the stem is balancing on a flat base. Gambosa is a combination of geometries in poise that interact harmoniously with each other.

The beauty of this table lamp doesn’t stem solely from its composition; it is also defined by its palette of colours. The shade is available in pale pink or black opaque versions, that provide a direct light, or in translucent white for softer illumination. The stem is available in a reddish orange and moss grey, the base in stone grey. This range of colours creates a matrix collection of different versions, each with their own aesthetic, from subdued to more expressive. Gambosa is available in two sizes: 26 cm in diameter and 30 cm in height, and 36 cm in diameter and 41 cm in height. The cable also forms part of the lamp’s design, descending from the top while a clip guides it, anchors it and stops it from escaping, adding to the overall visual appeal.

Equipped with standard sockets, this light is intended for long-term use and flexibility. By using universally available sockets, this design ensures that your lamp remains functional and adaptable for years to come, allowing you to choose and replace your preferred light source.

The cable curls down in a curved bend from the top. This is not only a twist on the familiar typology but also allows for an efficient assembly, packaging and ultimately repair.
